Q7:Introduce ourselves

A7: We are postgraduates in Performance and Cultural Industry (PCI) but have different research background. Jia Li were Students of playwriting before studying in Applied Theater, Qianyu Lyu focus on Performance design in Leeds based on her experience on Choreography in Guangzhou, China. Lin Zhou and Haiwen are currently undertaking studies towards a Master in Creativity, Culture and Entrepreneurship (CCE) at university of Leeds now.

Q8: what courses we are studying in school? Sharing some thing fun!

A8:A course that must be studied by all postgraduate is the Research Perspective. It functions as an umbrella in the course of researching by introducing research ideas, methods, tools and so on from teachers in different departments. At the very beginning , lecturers will upload handbook of the course covering all details such as module objectives and learning outcome, programme of activities, reading list, assessment and deadline . The rest part is our responsibility and task to arrange while no one will supervise and urge in personal.

The Applied Theater Jia Li is undertaking is characterized by teamwork and experiential activities. It usually base on different adaptations and scenarios, for example hospital and school. The latest activity they are responsible to design is about International Student's well being. During the  two hour and a half workshop, Jia Li and her classmates invited different international students took part in sections starting from breaking-ice to improvisation, in which everyone feel free to share and think about the challenges and problems they confused.

Qianyu Lyu's major is great supported by professional stage and technological team in school,  after all ,our school in uni called 'Stage@Leeds'.They are encouraged to think out of box and then make application in practice. Besides, there are a wide range of performance putting on the stage monthly  and all PCI students could have discounts.

The course of The Creativity, Culture and Entrepreneurship (CCE) Lin and Haiwen are undertaking is interdisciplinary:, to be specific, the public art programme-LIGHT NIGHT- in Leeds city is largely involved in course of first semester when everyone first time have chance to observe and research how cultural activities take place and shape a city. What's more, we can listen and talk with the artists, entrepreneurs, producers and city councillor in culture department. Therefore , what we learn from CCE is multiple dimensions in creative economy

Q9: if there are any regrets and complaints ?

A9:

Qianyu Lyu: after getting to know that there are countless reading materials in CCE, I find it hard to adapt myself and then decided to change to Performance Design. The practice-led course in stage is what I real like.

Lin Zhou: the classmates and friends I meet in CCE are usually have working experience and long-term intern in industry, thus it is  quite demanding but rewarding experience when we have group work. Besides, thanks to our supervisor's encouragement, we can overcome the interdisciplinary reading and writing.

Jia Li: because of the advanced research area, I usually cannot find enough articles in Chinese. However, I don't think it is regretful.(basically deny the whole topic we set haha)

Q10:what your teacher's pet phrase ?
